About Us

We are a small, family-run business passionate about fermentation and healthy living. Since 2004, we’ve been proudly supplying Australia’s most authentic sourdough starters, kefir grains, SCOBYs and fermenting equipment to both professional bakers and home fermenters nationwide.

Our passion for fermentation began in our rural upbringing, where fermenting was simply part of everyday life. We grew up surrounded by homegrown food, bubbling jars on the bench, and the understanding that fermented foods were key to health and vitality. We saw firsthand how these living foods supported energy, wellbeing, and resilience — and we wanted to share that with others.

After years of perfecting our craft and developing our own pure, heirloom strains, we’re proud to bring these living cultures to your kitchen. Every product is made using organic ingredients and traditional methods, because we believe quality ingredients create the best results — and the healthiest ferments.

Beyond fermentation, we’re passionate about sustainability — keeping chickens, tending native bees, and growing much of our own food. We believe staying connected to the land and supporting local agriculture is at the heart of a healthy, balanced life.
