Best gift I have purchased

I purchased the French Sourdough Starter Kit as a gift for my daughter Felicity, and she has absolutely mastered it! The kit was beautifully presented and came with everything she needed to get started. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and within no time she was baking delicious, crusty sourdough loaves that taste amazing.

It’s been such a joy watching her enthusiasm grow and seeing the wonderful results each week. This kit has truly sparked her love for sourdough baking — a perfect gift for anyone wanting to try something new and rewarding. Highly recommend!

Thank you so much, Rita! I’m thrilled to hear Felicity is enjoying the French starter and that the kit helped her dive straight into baking. It’s so special to hear it’s become something you can both share and celebrate — that’s exactly what I hope for when sending out each starter. Thank you again for such a thoughtful review!

I have never made sourdough anything before so this was a bit of a whim buying a starter

I have never made sourdough anything before so this was a bit of a whim buying a starter. I have now made 3 loaves and a batch of rolls which have all turned out brilliantly. All looked and tasted delicious. As we are only 2 in our household the rolls are definitely a more flexible option as I can make a batch and just cook a few at a time as we need them although a loaf works ok too just slice and keep in the freezer. No problems at all with the starter just follow the instructions and off you go.

Hi Elizabeth,

Thanks so much for sharing your experience! It’s awesome to hear that your first few loaves and rolls have turned out brilliantly — that’s exactly the kind of success we love to see. Rolls are such a great idea for a smaller household, and freezing sliced bread is definitely a smart way to avoid waste.

Glad the starter is working well for you. Keep enjoying the baking journey — sourdough really is such a rewarding craft!

If you ever have any questions or want recipe tips, just let me know.

Happy baking!
